Abbot Joseph resided at St. Benedict’s Monastery until he died on Oct. 21, 2018.
Joseph Boyle entered the Trappist order following his graduation from high school. Eventually, Fr. Joseph was elected Abbot of St Benedict’s Monastery and has led a simple life with deep roots in the contemplative tradition. He contributed to “Sundays at the Magic Monastery: Homilies from the Trappist’s of St. Benedict’s Monastery.” His embracing demeanor and sharp wit promise an enlightening and joyful conference.
