Blair Ashby

Blair Ashby is a Communication and Self-Compassion Specialist, Trainer, Life Coach, Recording Artist, and Author.

He started recording conferences with Fr. Thomas Keating and Contemplative Outreach in 1994. Since beginning with Fr. Keating, Blair has been fortunate to record all of the great spiritual teachers on this site as well as many with with Sounds True. In 1996 Blair recorded Tony D'Souza for the first time. Since those first recordings with Tony, Blair has slowly begun to see awareness as a tool anybody could use to live their lives fully.

In 2011, after a painful mid-life crisis, divorce, and bankruptcy, Blair began to understand the power of awareness of our thoughts, emotions, and actions. He started to share that understanding he received from practicing Awareness and Self-Compassion. Like all the spiritual teachers he has recorded and worked with, Blair now teaches Awareness and Self-Compassion full time to individuals, corporations, and students at a small trade school where he teaches.

Lastly, Blair is the "Blair" part of JonathanBlair. He and John Bickham recorded Inner Room with Scriptures read by Fr. Thomas Keating, and he recorded the follow-up album Reflections with Scripture read by Fr. Thomas Keating.
