In his daily meditation dated October 2, 2014, Fr. Richard references “Mutual Indwelling” and communicates the importance of “Remaining on the Vine” with these words: “Consciously, trustfully, lovingly remaining on “the Vine” (John 15:1), which is to be connected to our Source, is precisely our access point to deeper spiritual wisdom. We know by participation with and in God, which creates our very real co-identity with Christ: We are also both human and divine, as he came to reveal and model. The foundational meaning of divine transformation is surrendering to this new identity and consciously drawing upon it every day.”
Richard Rohr, O.F.M. is a Franciscan friar ordained to the priesthood in the Roman Catholic Church in 1970. He is a globally recognized Catholic and ecumenical Christian teacher focusing on mystical and transformational traditions. He is the founder and director of the Center for Action and Contemplation in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is also the author of more than twenty books.
