Suffering as a Path to Transformation instead of suffering being viewed as a burden we carry. Alternatively, is suffering a possible gateway to living a more contemplative life?
All great spirituality is about what we do with our pain. If we don’t transform our pain, we will transmit it to those around us.” ~ Richard Rohr
We invite you to join us as Rick Klein leads us in an exploration of the transformative potential of suffering. Rick will weave together insights from western and eastern spiritual traditions into a tapestry of compassion, forgiveness, and hope that can serve as a foundation for the contemplative journey.
Rick gives retreats and workshops on contemplative spirituality throughout Colorado. He is a certified instructor of Centering Prayer and has presented workshops on the work of Teilhard de Chardin, science & spirituality, and mysticism at the Center for Contemplative Living. He was a past facilitator and teacher in the Benedictine Spiritual Formation Program offered by the Benet Hill Monastery. He lives with his wife Lori in Fort Collins, CO.
“[May we] allow ourselves to be loved unconditionally and so be inspired to meet the needs of everyone in the human family past, present, and to come.” ~ Thomas Keating
