It seems like God has a funny way of helping me chase my dreams. I realize that God treats everyone compassionately; I can only speak about my experience. God is RELENTLESS for starters! Several years ago, I wanted to do a follow-up album to the Inner Room CD John Bickham, and I had created. I couldn’t find the motivation. Then in the spring of 2012, I thought I’d do a CD to have ready for the spring of 2013 ... Again, no inspiration. Finally, three weeks before the Contemplative Outreach Annual Conference in the spring of 2013, Julie and Joanne from the Contemplative Outreach Center, talked to me on two consecutive days about making some music for the conference. And, of course, the next day my publisher told me I have three weeks to finish my book as I’ve been offered a spot in an article which goes out to thousands and “that’d be a nice way to kick off your book, don’t you think, Blair?” When it rains, it pours!

I managed by not sleeping much to accomplish both the music and the book. Reflections that music. (The book is called Talking Man To Man.)

For this album, I wanted to reflect on all that I’ve learned in the past four years. Starting with my ‘midlife’ crisis and morphing into my midlife transition or even transformation. My goal is to share those gifts with you - I want to give you a gift of Joy, Peace, and Contentment. Of course, Fr. Keating’s voice is the perfect accompaniment to that goal. I chose readings specifically for sharing my insights and my vision of the world, and this life we get to live.

May you enjoy this album as an inspiration and place of Joy, Peace, and Contentment in your life.
